Sankat Mochan, Varanasi | Serving 120 km Radius of Purvanchal
For decades, dental and ENT specialists have had to make critical clinical decisions based on flat, two-dimensional X-rays — images that fail to show depth, overlap structures, and hide what lies behind. A tooth infection that appears simple on an OPG may involve the sinus floor. An implant site that looks adequate on a panoramic view may have hidden bone defects. A suspected jaw tumour may be far more complex than it appears in two dimensions.
CBCT — Cone Beam Computed Tomography — is the technology that changes all of this. In a single, fast, low-radiation scan, CBCT generates a complete, interactive three-dimensional map of teeth, jaws, sinuses, skull base, temporomandibular joints, and surrounding bone — giving your dentist, oral surgeon, or ENT specialist the exact information needed to plan treatment with confidence.
Karauli Diagnostics now brings Varanasi's most advanced CBCT imaging technology to you at our conveniently located Sankat Mochan centre — serving dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists, ENT specialists, and their patients across Varanasi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Chandauli, and beyond.
See more. Know more. Treat better. That is the CBCT difference.
CBCT — Cone Beam Computed Tomography — is a specialised form of X-ray imaging that uses a cone-shaped beam of X-rays rotating around the patient to capture hundreds of images simultaneously. These images are instantly reconstructed by a computer into a full three-dimensional volumetric dataset — allowing the radiologist and referring clinician to view the anatomy from any angle, in any plane, with extraordinary detail.
Unlike a conventional CT scanner (which uses a fan-shaped beam and is optimised for whole-body imaging), CBCT is purpose-built for the head, neck, dental arches, sinuses, and related hard-tissue structures. This focused design results in significantly lower radiation dose, faster scan time, and superior resolution for bone and tooth anatomy.
CBCT scan Varanasi ke dentists aur ENT specialists ke liye ek game-changing diagnostic tool hai — 2D X-ray se bahut zyada accurate aur detailed imaging.

We offer the most comprehensive CBCT scanning menu in Varanasi — covering every dental, maxillofacial, ENT, and orthopaedic application. All scans delivered with multi-planar reconstruction (MPR) and 3D volume rendering.
When: Before implant surgery
The gold standard pre-implant assessment. Measures exact bone height, width, and density. Identifies proximity to nerves and sinus floor. Precise measurements for implant selection.
When: Comprehensive dental assessment
Full upper and lower arch imaging in 3D. Identifies all teeth (including impacted), bone levels, pathology, and root anatomy. Essential for full-mouth rehabilitation.
When: Wisdom teeth, impacted canines
Precisely locates the position, angulation, and depth of impacted third molars and canines. Shows relationship to the inferior alveolar nerve — critical for surgical risk assessment.
When: Complex root canal / RCT failure
Reveals the true number, curvature, and anatomy of root canals (calcified, missed canals, root fractures). Essential for retreatment and microsurgery planning.
When: Braces / aligner treatment planning
Provides 3D skeletal assessment for orthodontic diagnosis — including root torque risk, bone thickness for mini-implants, and virtual cephalometric analysis.
When: Gum disease / bone loss assessment
Accurately maps alveolar bone defects, vertical bone loss, furcation involvement, and bone craters. Far more accurate than conventional periapical X-rays.
When: Jaw pain, clicking, locking
3D assessment of the TMJ — condylar morphology, joint space, erosion, and flattening. Essential for diagnosing TMJ dysfunction and planning therapy.
When: Jaw swelling, lesion on OPG
Precisely delineates jaw cysts and tumours, showing cortical expansion, internal structure, root displacement, and relationship to vital structures.
When: Jaw correction surgery planning
3D cephalometric analysis and virtual surgical simulation for osteotomies. Replaces multiple 2D radiographs with a single comprehensive dataset.
When: Facial injury / fracture assessment
Precisely maps fracture lines in the mandible, maxilla, zygomatic arch, and orbital floor. Gives an accurate pre-operative roadmap for fixation plate design.
When: Salivary gland stones / swelling
Detects calcified sialoliths (salivary stones) in the glands and their ducts. Guides minimally invasive sialendoscopy or surgical removal planning.
When: Chronic sinusitis / FESS planning
Superior to conventional CT for pre-operative FESS planning. Visualises all sinus cavities, deviated septum, and anatomical variants affecting surgery.
When: Hearing loss / ear surgery / skull lesions
High-resolution 3D imaging of the ear ossicles, cochlea, and skull base foramina. Critical for cochlear implant planning and tympanomastoid surgery.
When: Scaphoid fracture / carpal instability / ankle trauma
Sub-millimetre 3D imaging of small joints. Identifies subtle fractures often missed on X-rays. Lower radiation than conventional CT.
Varanasi mein kai imaging centres hain — lekin CBCT technology, clinical expertise, aur patient experience mein Karauli Diagnostics sabse aage hai.
We make your CBCT scan experience as comfortable, fast, and informative as possible.
No fasting required. Remove all metal jewellery, earrings, spectacles, hearing aids, and removable dental prostheses before the scan.
You stand or sit within the CBCT gantry. Your head is gently positioned and stabilised. The open design means no claustrophobia.
The rotating arm makes a single pass around your head, capturing hundreds of images. Simply hold still and breathe normally. Completely painless.
Our oral radiologist prepares a multi-planar interpretation. Standard reports are ready same day. You receive a DICOM CD, a printed report, and digital delivery via WhatsApp.
We are proud to partner with over 300+ dental specialists, oral surgeons, and ENT doctors across Varanasi.
We apply the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle for every scan, selecting the smallest field of view appropriate for the clinical indication.
| Imaging Method | Typical Dose (µSv) | Relative to Daily Background |
|---|---|---|
| CBCT (Small FOV — Dental) | 40–100 µSv | ~1–3 days background |
| CBCT (Large FOV — Full Skull) | 100–600 µSv | ~5–25 days background |
| Conventional CT Head | 1,000–2,000 µSv | ~100+ days background |
| OPG (Panoramic X-ray) | 14–26 µSv | ~1 day background |
| Chest X-ray | 100 µSv | ~10 days background |
CBCT delivers significantly lower radiation than a conventional medical CT scan. The radiation from a small-FOV dental CBCT is comparable to a few days of normal background radiation.
